The Irish have a phrase anamchara which means soul friend. I’d like to wish the happiest of birthdays to a soul friend.

I appreciate her support of my writing journey and how she’s always game to chat about my shifter romances.

I also love that she never seems to get enough of me and that feeling is mutual.

She sings, dances, hikes, makes balloon animals, takes brilliant photos, and writes poetry. I admire the way she parents. And yes, she can knit.

Perhaps more than anything, I treasure the laughs we’ve shared.

I have a theory…

When I’m writing and I’ve set up the tension really well, I struggle to figure out the ending. This means I am tense. My theory is that when a book has great tension it’s because the author has successfully transferred their own tension onto the page!

Which is similar to how I perceive that when I knit a gift, I am knitting love into the thing.

Who are we kidding? Let’s call it what it is. I am knitting love into the socks!

I am making great progress on my Irish paranormal

I am making great progress on my Irish paranormal romance.

So, I rewarded myself with a little peek at what I had brainstormed for the epilogue. Imagine my surprise when my ideas included “roll play”. LOLOL

And now I can’t stop thinking about writing a romance short about a roll shifter!
