I like to think of myself as a storyteller. Mostly I tell stories about knitting.
Comments Off on – How to care for socks I’ve knit.

1. Eucalan No Rinse Wool Wash or Soak are the best “detergents” for hand knit socks. I hand wash mine in COLD water with lavender Eucalan (and no one is paying me to say that).

2. You can put your socks in your washing machine on the gentle or hand wash cycle on COLD if you’re feeling really lucky (but, if this goes horribly wrong, please just don’t tell me).

3. Please, for the love of wool, do NOT put them in the dryer. Lay flat to dry. (or hang them over the rod in your shower. That works fine too.)

4. At some point, no matter how gentle you are with them, they will need to be mended or darned. Here are some instructions.
