Last February, I made the <a href=\"http:\/\/jlyarnworks.blogspot.com\/2008\/07\/hermiones-cable-eyelet-hat.html\">Hermoine hat<\/a> for myself on size 5 circs. This January, I used the same yarn and the same needles to make the same hat. Only, it turned out a little big, so it seems I&#8217;m a tad less uptight than I was last winter. At least this is what I&#8217;m telling myself.<br \/> <br \/>\nThe hat is a birthday gift for my SIL. I&#8217;m going to send it to her with a note that if it is too big, she should let me know and I&#8217;ll knit her another (on 4&#8217;s). Some kind of sisterhood of the traveling hat magic could happen and it could fit. At least this is what I&#8217;m telling myself.<br \/>\nI also noticed that I look like I&#8217;ve aged a lot in a year &#8211; my eyes have dark circles under them. The good news on this is the first hat was done in DC (no allergies) and the second hat was done in mid-January in what I&#8217;m sure must be the Live Cedar Capital of the World.  I haven&#8217;t really aged all that much in a year.
