A friend of mine seems addicted to reading blogs, so I thought I’d update just for her (and b\/c I haven’t in awhile. :) )
\n<\/br>I went to NYC with some girl friends and I keep meaning to blog about our trip, but just haven’t gotten around to it. I can sum it up with – it was great! :)
\nNephew was born Nov. 19. He’s a cutie! I talked to him on the phone for the first time night before last (speaker phone) :) The poor baby will not see his giraffe for awhile as I have yet to assemble it….I am going to have to psych myself up and just do it, but I really have an unreasonable hatred of assembly. I think from now on, I’m going to avoid anything that requires assembly.
\nTH and I went hiking with some friends recently and then had them over for a campfire (and ghost stories)…good times.
\nTH and I have been redoing a room in our house and I think we’ll be done in time for a holiday gathering, so that’s cool…but the work did include one trip to a doctor for a few stitches.
\nMy parents visited for Thanksgiving and that was fun. I especially enjoyed the hockey game with my dad.
\nI didn’t go shopping on Black Friday for the first time in a LONG time – there just weren’t any GREAT DEALS. I am planning on shopping Dec. 26 hopefully.
\nI’m still working on the world of warcraft blanket – I’m about 20% done.
\nNo other real progress on any other knitted things. I need to get a move on some Christmas items!
\n<\/br>There have been a couple of funny headlines lately.
\nA friend shared, “man dives headfirst into jellyfish, gets stung” with me. Her comment, “well, I guess that answers the age old question of what happens with you dive headfirst into a jellyfish” had me laughing out loud. The other amusing one was “cocaine stuffed chicken is a recipe for arrest”…. :)
