The first sock did not have this issue! So, I took 9 minutes (yes, I timed it) and ripped out at least three days worth of knitting. Yes, a more observant knitter might have realized the blob was appearing at the end of day one. Nevertheless, I broke the yarn and then knitted a bit&#8230;the blob was starting to reappear, so I broke the yarn again and went back to knitting. She&#8217;s a lovely lady and did not seem to mind that I was chanting knit-purl-purl-knit under my breath as we discussed me teaching her to knit at some point. I got to the last what should have been four stitches. There were five. RATS! So, she and I then discussed the pitfalls of overconfidence while I ripped out half my grafting job.
