A local yarn shop review.

I was asked if I needed help when I entered the shop, but felt like I was interrupting the knitting group that was going on. Honestly, the whole group was giving off a pretty unhappy vibe for ladies knitting in a yarn shop in the middle of the day on a Thursday. Or maybe I looked a bit too Austin hippy for their taste in my flip flops, frayed jeans and T-shirt (Texas “winters” rock). Either way, I was able to get the help I needed finding a few things I’ve not seen previously. I bought:
\nFiesta Baby Boom – Sun Face (first orange I’ve purchased with the intention to knit socks for myself)
\nViking of Norway Nordlys superwash – 957 aka purple\/pink. (I would have preferred the blue, but it was too smurfy).

sorry about the quality - I realized the glare was BAD later.<\/p><\/div>The bags and bags of yarn around the store were somewhat off-putting too, so I doubt I’ll be back just because I wasn’t a fan of the whole feel of the shop. But, in the interest of fairness, I should note that there is a 10% discount for joining the shop’s ravelry group and the shop’s prices are pretty reasonable with the discount.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
