Start with Silver&#8217;s Sock Class Pattern for the cuff.<br \/>\n<br \/>2. Forethought heel.<br \/>\n<br \/>3. Knit the foot. (how long? The sock owner-to-be has tiny feet. We&#8217;re talking elf feet here. I&#8217;ll just knit for a bit and worry about that later. That always works out fine.)<br \/>\n3a. Realize that I don&#8217;t know how long the afterthought heel is going to be, so I don&#8217;t know when to start the toes even with foot measurements.<br \/>\n3b. Rip out two inches of knitting so the sock will actually fit. (no worries, that knitting kept me from being angry whilst I waited on various things, it was for a good cause).<br \/>\n<br \/>4. Knit the toes a la Silver. (Look at this sock and doubt that there&#8217;s any way it will fit.
