He has two older sisters. The girls each have a hand-crocheted blanket.<\/br><br \/>\nThe oldest little girl has a blanket made by her great-grandmother.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.metzroth.com\/katie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/original2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.metzroth.com\/katie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/original2-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"original\" title=\"original\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-634\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.metzroth.com\/katie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/original.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.metzroth.com\/katie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/original-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"original-up close\" title=\"original-up close\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-635\" \/><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nI made a copy for little girl #2 since I have a soft spot in my heart for second daughters, what with me being one and all.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.metzroth.com\/katie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/09-23-09.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.metzroth.com\/katie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/09-23-09-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"new one\" title=\"new one\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-636\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<\/br>Then, the little boy came along, so he gets his own blanket. A <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lionbrand.com\/patterns\/60509A.html\">speed hooked blanket<\/a> ( with a lovely pomp-a-doodle edging (pom-pom parade yarn from Herrschners- it was very soft). I was thrilled to be working in blue and excited to try this new edging (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.crochettoday.com\/crochet-patterns\/swaddling-baby-blanket\">from Crochet Today! magazine<\/a>). I only did two rounds of pom poms rather than the 6 the pattern called for since I didn&#8217;t want to have a lot of white.
