Katherine the Great
I like to think of myself as a storyteller. Mostly I tell stories about knitting.

When Cindy, of Gauge Wars, called for testers for her pretty heart cowl, I jumped at the chance.
I thought of my Grammy, grabbed some periwinkle shi bui and took the puppy for a test drive.

Heart Cowl

The cast on for this is about twice the number needed for my average sock. Yet, I KEPT being surprised by how many stitches were in a round. It became somewhat comical.

This charming cowl went off to Grammy for Christmas and she loved the hearts and the color. and I love her.

It is a little more pastel than I usually go for, but I could not resist the not blue but not purple color. :)

I bought the pattern but haven’t cast on yet. It took so long to finish my last cowl. I just dyed some new red yarn…maybe I should for Valentine’s day.
