Katherine the Great
I like to think of myself as a storyteller. Mostly I tell stories about knitting.

A rare thing has happened. I looked at a pattern, pictured a color, discussed it with a friend, she agreed, then, and this is the kicker, I dove into my stash and surfaced with a hank that I LOVED for these socks.

This NEVER happens. Here’s the usual turn of events:
I pick a color, a friend (or two) convince me that another color would be wiser, I root around in the stash, change my mind 5 times, take 3 colors to The Husband. He picks one. I solidify my preference for a different shade and cast on.

So, even though these socks and I took a couple of wrong turns (How long have I been knitting socks? I forgot to turn a heel. I’m convinced I was distracted by my excitement over the color), I am in love!

I can see how you easily fell in love with this skein. It’s gorgeous! However, I may be biased. I recently bought a scarlet colored skein of sock for a similar pair. :-D

Ooh, these are great! I wear red socks a lot. What usually happens in my life is that I find a pattern and end up ordering a skein of yarn rather than using stash!
