I’m 60% of the way through the world of warcraft blanket!
I’d like to thank the academy …
and my dog and TH for their patience. :)
How can I only be 60% done?
It is already long enough to cover me while I work on it….
The good news is that I have planned for a margin of error.
Should the early part turn out too long, there will be a foot pocket.
Should the part I’m knitting turn out too long, I’ll stop knitting. :)
When I get to Seventy percent, perhaps I’ll have TH close his eyes and I’ll measure. :)
I’m sooooo glad to be making progress. I cannot wait to be finished!
and then assemble my state fair blanket! and then get to work on all the other stuff I have my eye on! :)
oh, and at SOME point, I should finish the poor crocheted Santa! :) – at least by next Christmas. :)
Peas out! and HAPPY WED! :) (5/5/2010 10:52 pm)
I like to think of myself as a storyteller. Mostly I tell stories about knitting.
I finished the green baby hat (Gansey Gayle Hat by Terry Morris) ahead of schedule. This is the fastest I’ve ever finished something (6days)! :) Six days the second time I knitted it, anyway. :)
I wanted to blog about it Friday a week ago, but even though the gift recipient likely doesn’t read my blog, I felt a bit tacky about posting pics ahead of time.
This is the first thing I’ve knitted from the “Calendar of things to knit” that I received as a Christmas gift last year. I was pleased. I’ll have to decide what to knit next from the calendar – Thanks, Lisa! :)
The baby shower was this afternoon and the mom-to-be liked it. :)
Here is a pic from the shower. It was cute and fun!

Hill Country Weavers had a yarn sale. I told myself I was not going to buy any new yarn until 7/1 at the earliest (unless I buy it out of state). It was one of my New Year’s Resolutions.
TH gave me cash for my birthday…which was in Dec. and I had not yet spent it.
So.
Theoretically.
If, I’m spending my birthday money on yarn, am I buying the yarn? OR did TH buy me yarn for my birthday and my Resolution can go on?
I’m not sure, but I will try not to buy any more yarn until I’m out of state again or I think 8/1. That should balance out the universe I think. :)
Look at the lovely yarn I got on sale! :)I’m VERY excited! :)
Will this yarn become little purses or hats or socks? we shall see. :)
