TH’s birthday is in April and TH likes fruit loops, so it only seemed fitting that I make Fruit Loop socks in April. Prism Saki yarn in the Plum Dandy colorway is gorgeous. The socks were not quite finished in April, but that doesn’t make me love them any less.
I like to think of myself as a storyteller. Mostly I tell stories about knitting.
I have a habit of saying “I never…” right before I’m forced to eat my words.
I never make mittens.
For some reason, putting my fingerless mitts in my ficus for a photo made me think of Twilight (spider monkeys!) and yes, I did dust the entire plant right after this photo.
I never make shawls, prefer to call it a wrap.
I never make socks.

Could not have been more wrong about that one….now I’m considering socks to match the mittens.
Perhaps I should say something like I never knit orcas and then the world would soon have a lovely knitted killer whale!
The Jeanie was finished in time for the wedding. I blocked it on my hotel bed the night before the wedding.
The bride was worried it would be very cool at the end of March. It wasn’t. It was hot. So hot that I only got to wear the Jeanie for two minutes to show my parents. I didn’t even get a picture of me in it. My hair and makeup were all fixed. I really should have had someone take a picture. Perhaps my brain was overheated?
I will reblock it again (for real) at some point and take a better pic, but I’ve no idea what I’ll do with it. What can I wear this with other than the dress it was made to match? any ideas? anyone?
It really is beautiful. sigh.
