I’d like to send a little shout out to the Bellagio for inspiring my Camillas color choice. Here’s a pic I took when TH and I were in Vegas circa 2007.

Hi, my name’s Katie, I’m weird, I take pictures of walls.

In other news, I had a hard time convincing myself that I wanted to spend thirty-six dollars on yarn for mittens. A THIRTY SIX dollar pair of mittens? That’s a lot, but the mini mochi was really making me crazy, and really, I’d be paying to be entertained whilst knitting and I could subtract six dollars for the free pattern from SpillyJane….so, it’s okay, right?
Wrong! Really wrong! These mittens weigh less than an oz. a piece. That means that out of the seven oz of malabrigo, I can make seven sets of mittens which means that they actually cost around five dollars a set! That’s much more palatable. Now, I think we all know I’m not making seven sets of black and cream or cream and black mitts, but still, it is nice to know one could make seven sets without spending two hundred and fifty dollars.
