Katherine the Great
I like to think of myself as a storyteller. Mostly I tell stories about knitting.

That’s how I’d define my relationship………with this sock.

1. Start with Silver’s Sock Class Pattern for the cuff.

2. Forethought heel.

3. Knit the foot. (how long? The sock owner-to-be has tiny feet. We’re talking elf feet here. I’ll just knit for a bit and worry about that later. That always works out fine.)
3a. Realize that I don’t know how long the afterthought heel is going to be, so I don’t know when to start the toes even with foot measurements.
3b. Use the second ball of yarn to knit the afterthought heel so I can measure the foot.
Simple Sock
3c. Rip out two inches of knitting so the sock will actually fit. (no worries, that knitting kept me from being angry whilst I waited on various things, it was for a good cause).

4. Knit the toes a la Silver. (Look at this sock and doubt that there’s any way it will fit. This is what I get for going all Dr. Frankenstein on a couple of sock patterns.)
Striped Sock
I’m sure it just needs a good blocking.
